This hand knotted meditation mala consists of 108 beads of Rudraksha and varied natural stone beads. Rudraksha, also known as 'Shiva's tears' are considered highly spiritual beads worn by Asian yogis and monks and used for meditation. Grown from the Rudraksha tree, they are found mostly in Nepal, India and Indonesia. It is believed to bring a peaceful quietness to the mind and protect the wearer from negative energies. 108 is considered a sacred number in Hinduism and Buddhism, and traditionally used to meditate and repeat a mantra. It can also be worn as a piece of jewellery reminding you of your intentions.
This mala is hand-made, and each piece is unique. As these are natural beads, there will be slight variations in colour and size between beads. This mala is hand knotted, using a sturdy cord and meant to last for many years of meditation practice.
