Launching Our Very Own Scoop Station

Finally, we have our very own scoop station! ππͺ£πΎπ₯. For those who donβt yet know, it was always our plan to set up a scoop station when we first opened our physical store back in November 2020. Check out our first artistsβ impression of our grocery store in the featured image above! I remember the disappointment when we realized we did not have the budget for it. We would have to spend an extra $10k to install a state-of-the-art air-conditioning system to safely store grains in bulk, and we just could not afford it. π₯
It wasnβt until early this year, when we started brainstorming new projects for Everyday Vegan, that we thought about the scoop station again. π€ This time, our plan was driven mainly by a desire to make vegan staples more affordable. We are faced time and time again with the sentiment that it is so expensive to be vegan, and we are always disheartened when we hear this. This is because we know how affordable and enjoyable a healthy vegan diet can be if you know where to look and how to eat. In fact, that is where the concept of Everyday Vegan was born. π We wanted to make vegan groceries accessible, convenient and affordable, so everyone can choose kindness, every day. πΒ
But we knew we had a lot of work to do. πͺ We have spent so much of the last two years expanding our selection of vegan groceries to include more exotic goodies (vegan cheeses, meats, snacks and sweets) but these specialty groceries are generally more expensive. We strayed too far from our path! π₯Β
After a lot of research, a few confusing phone calls and more googling, we realized we would be able to save a lot by buying our dried foods in bulk and then selling wholesale to you by the gram. Then, of course, we would share those savings with you! π

Scoop stations also reduce the use of plastic. With a scoop station, you buy what you need, and we pack it for you in eco-friendly paper bags that are recyclable β»οΈ and biodegradable. Even better, you can opt to bring your own container to shop with, thereby avoiding the use of bags entirely. π
So, at Everyday Vegan we have a new promise: we will further reduce our plastic use. π We have already stopped the use of plastic packaging in our fresh produce aisle. Starting today, we will stop selling any grocery product which we can sell from our scoop station instead. We will eventually phase out our packaged nuts, seeds, dried fruits and grains. Soon, even our breakfast cereals will be sold from our scoop station! π
Ultimately, we promise great quality at great prices. And we hope these savings will be able to aid you as you continue with your personal kindness journey β₯οΈ and help you contribute to the welfare of animals.
Thanks for reading!
Love,

The exotic stuff will be more expensive, not everyone will be able to have it all the time. Itβs a good thing that you have thought of other ways. Sending you all the positive vibes. :)
