The clock is ticking and I cannot sleep. I am writing this at 3am in the morning, and I feel like there are still a million things to do even though there is only 1 week left.
As of now:
The refrigerator equipment has not arrived yet.
The carpenters are still assembling the shelves.
My shipment of Aussie products will only just be sent out tomorrow.
On top of all that, we faced multiple hiccups with our renovation works last week. We found out that the air conditioning unit was so badly damaged that despite our best efforts to repair it, we still have to replace the entire system. 😟 I also had to make a last-minute adjustment to the café counter design and this resulted in a lot of rework and delays in the café fit-out. 😟 We have managed to resolve these issues, but for most of the week, it was 2 steps forward, 1 step back.
Nonetheless, I feel very optimistic and excited about store opening day 😊😊😊.
At the very worst ,the furniture may be a little unfinished and missing a screw or two 😬😬😬, but opening day will still be filled with awesome vegan goodies 👍🌱.
We will still be offering free organic coffees and teas, pay-as-you-like vegan Magnums, cheesecake from WellSmoocht, and Selva Pops 🙌.
We will also be freshly stocked with groceries from well-loved Everyday Vegan brands that you are all familiar with, and fingers crossed, new Everyday Vegan exclusives too 🙌😉.
So yes, regardless of the state of renovations, I am committed to opening on 1 November 2020 to commemorate World Vegan Day 🙌.
Opening day tickets are now available. Due to COVID-19 safe management measures, there are limited slots available and we will have to charge a small fee for it.
But we have made sure that the small fee is completely worth it. Check out all the perks to our store opening ticket here.
I really, really, really look forward to seeing and serving all of you 💚🌱.
Keep you posted!
